New website for Arbre et Montagne
Today the new website for arbreetmontagne.com was launched. It is a site with full content management based on the Drupal CMS. Hubert can easily edit all the content on the site, both the text and the photos. He has a simple interface for uploading the photos, and the system automatically crops them to the full size and the square crop used on the slideshow on each page.
Never forget a password again
There has been a lot in the news recently about people reusing the same password over and over. This exposes you to hackers and should be avoided to prevent your identity being hijacked and fraudulent use of your finances.
Raid Vauban website
I have built the website for what is going to be one of the best singletrack mountain bike races in France (if not the world), the Raid Vauban. Based on the Drupal content management system the organisers can manage all of the content on the site themselves. They can edit all the text, add and remove photos, add and remove complete pages, manage the menus and modify the content of the blocks on either side of the main page.
Alpine Transfer Company
I have just finished the new website for the Alpine Transfer Company.
Based out of Serre-Chavalier in the Hautes-Alpes region of France they provide transfers for most of the ski resorts in the north of the Hautes-Alpes as well as some of the south of the Isere from airports such as Grenoble, Turin and Marseille.
Check out their new site at alpine-transfer-company.com
New website for Chalet Berwyn
Today we have just launched the new website for Chalet Berwyn. The site has a full content management system so Jenny and Julian can edit all the text on the site, place pictures where they like on the site and even add and remove whole pages.
Have a look at their site at www.chaletberwyn.co.uk
SEO for AlpineCab
I have recently finished doing some search engine optimisation work for AlpineCab.com. They wanted to promote their business to people wanting private transfers and taxi services to and from Evian les Bains.
Google Apps with SBS
If you are using Microsoft Small Business Server then Google Apps for your domain is a great additional solution for offsite archiving of all mail as well as spam control and mail queuing while your server is offline.
However the built in POP3 connector in SBS is very basic and doesnt support alternative ports or SSL which Google force you to use.
To get around this you need to grab hold of Stunnel and OpenSSL
Google Apps now supports IMAP
This is some of the best news that has happened in ages. Google Apps is a great system for managing your email, but up until now it has not been possible to use IMAP.
The introduction of IMAP means that the same mailbox can be accessed by different users on different computers and changes are kept in sync. For small office setups and small businesses run from home this is ideal.
